We do Private pick ups and drop offs at hotels/guest houses/Airbnbs/Places of work in Johannesburg North and North west including Sandton, Rosebank, Melrose Arch, Houghton, Westcliff, Roodepoort, Fourways, Lanseria etc

2 hours and 4 hours Soweto bicycle tour packages are available

The 2 hours cycling takes about 5 hours including travelling time. 4 hours Cycling takes about 8 hours including travelling time. The 2 hour cycling starts at 10h00 in the morning and the afternoon 2 hour cycling is at 13h00. The 4 hour cycling is available at 10:00am. You can combine Soweto with Apartheid museum for a full day expirience.

Lunch
Lunch is served at the Outdoor restaurant, with seating in the community park. The meal is a delicious African stew cooked the traditional way – over the fire. Both the 2 hours and 4 hours tour includes lunch which is served after the tour – 10am slot – an before the tour – 1pm slot

Soweto Bicycle Tour Details

You do this entertaining adventure around the streets of Soweto, and get to know the different communities and their history. Local guides will take you around. This tour gives you insight about Soweto's many different faces, the Soweto uprisings and the resistance against Apartheid. You will also see and learn how the communities have changed and developed to what it is today. You also cycle through the Historical Land-marks of the 1976 uprisings, and visit the Memorial and Museum site of Hector Pieterson, Mandela House and Arch Bishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu's house. We visit the famous Vilakazi Street.



What to bring
* Comfortable shoes
* Extra sweater or rain jacket for rainy days
* In winter (May - September): A couple of layers with a jacket or jersey (Pliable) as winter mornings starts of quite cold but as the day goes the weather usually warms up
* Camera
* Sun block
* Water bottle - You can buy water at the venue.
* Pocket money for additional snacks on the road or souvenirs at the market
* Optional - Donation: Some tours will stop at a Pre-school or NGO; you can if you want donate a small amount of money, toys or educational material.

Fitness
* Light to moderate fitness, people of all ages are suited for these tours.
* No tour is cycling for the duration of the tour as there are many stops included.
