Valley of the Waves
This is one of Sun City's most popular attractions. One of the most advanced water parks in the world with a mechanically generated water pool that generates 1.8m waves every 90 seconds. It is a great facility for family holidays, as it accommodates the daring spirit of adventure for all ages.

The Valley of Waves links The Palace of the Lost City Hotel to the Entertainment Centre in Sun City. Valley of Waves incorporates 22 different regions of vegetation, from a rocky outcrop of ancient baobab trees, to a lush, tropical jungle.

Walkers are enticed to the Waterscape, a huge arrangement of interlinked pools, a kilometre of low weirs and two kilometres of walkways that lead through gardens and over, and under rock formations. Among the Waterscape's permanent residents are swans, herons, and the rare South African black duck.

There is a designated children area to keep the parents' minds at ease. For smaller children, a sparkling pool with slides, central rock and spouting water features is ideal. Life guards are on duty daily. The Royal bath swimming pool besides the Amphitheatre offers a place to soak up some warm sun rays. The Lazy River offers a gentle continuous tube ride around the Island.

Observatory bar on the deck offers exciting cocktails and drinks. Life jackets and umbrellas can be hired at a refundable rate. Bring your swim suits, towels etc.

The Valley of Waves is closed during winter period, mid-May until end of June

Maize of the Lost City
The maze of the lost city is the latest leisure activity at Sun City resort. Is one of the largest mazes in the Southern hemisphere.

It covers an area of 2200 square metres, and is a challenging experience and great fun for everyone. The maze is reached by crossing a 90m long suspension bridge from Sun City Entertainment Centre. The bridge is carefully engineered for absolute safety. As you cross the suspension bridge you enjoy the Splendid view of the Lost City, the Bridge of Time and The Valley of Waves. Then the path takes you through the indigenous bushveld bridge until you come to the entrance of the Maize of The Lost City.

Once you are in the Maize you will find the paths confusing, with many false trails that end in blank Stone Wall.
You backtrack and start again, only to be frustrated once more. Slowly you work your way through the Maze, sometimes even seeing the exit, but unable to get to it. Slowly you work your way through the Maze until you reach your destination, the exit and the refreshments- the brewers roof and the Maize Lookout, where you can enjoy Cold beer, Soft drink, Ice cream and light Snacks.
Typical times for getting into the Maze are anytime from 10 – 15 minutes up to 1 hour.

For those who give up, there are emergency exit gates, and for those who do not want to go through the Maize, there is a quick path that leads straight to the refreshment area and the toilets.

Team building Activities are conducted in the stunning 550 hectare Letsatsing Game Reserve which is part of the Sun City Resort grounds.
The Reserve is home to various species of animals to ensure that you will have an unforgettable wildlife experience.

The principle aim of this activity  is to offer program that is highly affordable, at basic level yet is also modular and can be evolved to different levels of the experiential entertainment depending on the client’s needs.

It is presented with SMS’s and is highly affordable due to minimised facilitator requirements. Obviously the confidentiality of the participants’ cellular number database is absolutely guaranteed. The database is deleted from the system immediately following the activity to prevent any misuse.

Clients are presented with a riddle or clue to solve. Upon successfully solving the challenge, they will receive another clue that will lead them to their next challenge and so on. These challenges are scattered over the Sun City Complex, and obviously familiarizes clients with the complex in this way.

The task to be completed at every location will be modularly expanded to involve; Quad Bikes precision driving challenge, Archery hunting challenge, Drumming rhythm composing to satisfy the judge, Paintball guns shooting at moving targets.

The challenges are roughly based on the same principles as the popular Survivor TV series and 90’s Camel Trophy Adventures.

Participants have to interact to cross an imaginary river, or start a fire with very few resources, or follow an elementary compass reading. Practice your aim with a few shooting exercises using a Pellet gun, use a bow to shoot a 3D target such as an Impala or Warthog for meat, drive a quad through our precision driving course and get the adrenalin pumping by doing it blindfolded!

The great equalizer challenge at the end offers losing teams the final opportunity to catch up for a possible surprise win. This is a great activity for really getting the competitive team dynamics going.
